My photo

People write diaries. Their diaries describe their personality. I write on my blog. It describes me way too well. :D
My writing takes me places my mind never wanted to go
Everyone writes. From the ink of their thoughts, by the pen of their mind on the page of their face. Everyone writes.I love to write. It is a passion; a compulsion; something that gives me an avenue to express myself. I write when I am happy; when I am sad or when an issue touches my heart. I find inspiration to write in every aspect of life.
This blog is dedicated to anything and everything that fills my thoughts and occupies cranial space

A letter of apology to Mother Earth!

Just have a look at this article and feel your role in the preserving the Mother Earth...... Felt this article very knowledgeable so wanted to share with you all.........

Earth, planet no. 3,
 Milky way Galaxy.
To Mother Earth!
I do not know how to incept and what to say to you but I do know that "I am sorry". Like a mother who nourishes her child inside her womb, Takes care of her baby in every possible way. She bears all the excruciating pains without complaining and when she gives birth to that child, she desires that the baby would be her protector and her Angel.

And just like this, Mother Earth you have nourished not only one, two or three children but billions and trillions of us. Like every other mother you also endured those pangs and craved that your children would adore you, take care of you and even open the floodgates of their hearts when you are woebegone
But we did not do any of this; instead we mortified you and persecuted you. Oh! Mother forgive me, for I have made you bleed in pain. I know you ached and flinched every time your children ripped off the flowers, trees and forests you gave us with so much love and sentiment. Indeed we have burned you to satisfy our own existence.

Mother! You would have felt being punished when you saw your own babies contaminating the water bodies with effluents from factories, oil spills and pesticides from farming. You are sunk in misery because we did not realize that by doing this, we are not only killing you but also the marine life in the sea.
My dear mother, I never asked you that how difficult it is for you to breathe such toxic air… air which is filled with cocktails of harmful and venomous gases from cars and factories. I am sorry for destroying the gift you gave us. We are such terrible no… accursed children that we did not protect you from your enemies  and instead made you vulnerable to those deleterious things that depleted the Ozone Layer, lead to Global Warming and Acid Rain! We even quenched the life of the
Mother I can feel it in my bones that you are shedding tears from time to time hoping and yearning that your children would all unite together and wipe those tears. Oh mother! You wished for tranquility, we gave you war. You wished for love and we gave you hatred. You wished for being the most beautiful planet in the solar system and we made you so hideous …so repugnant that God also wept to see you in this miserable condition.
Mother please forgive me for hurting you so badly. For making you wince in pain, for making you cry and not stopping others when they were assaulting you. I am heartbroken too because we have tormented you so much that your marred soul can't be taken to a doctor for plastic surgery. Mother don't … please don't turn away. Please listen to me…. I repent  and feel sorrowful … I know , I know this will not  bring a revolution but please give me a chance to change you back to what you used to be.
Mother it is a new world… long gone are the ages when mothers used to look ancient and old – fashioned.  now they are so hot  and I promise you will look like one. Who know we might find our father?.I promise I will turn off the lights before leaving my room. I will plant a tree every day and encourage others to do so. I will create awareness among about the importance of water and to use the natural resources in a more sustainable way.

I promise to become a nature savior. I will prevent wildlife species from becoming extinct. I will join hands with other people and youth of every country will unite to do their part. You will no longer shed acidy tears but tears of joy and euphoria.  Mother we will do anything to make you smile. I LOVE you sooooo much. You are the best mother anyone can dream of!

Your Son,
An Earth Resident

Thanks

Do We Look Within People????

Once Hodja was invited to a very important formal banquet, but he didn't dress up for the occasion and went in his everyday clothing. Once there, he was treated with disrespect and was looked upon with contempt. No one paid him any attention; the servants ignored him and didn't even serve him dinner. After a short while. he slipped out of the banquet and went home. There he changed into his finest clothes, putting on a magnificent turban, a fine silk robe, very valuable jewelry, and a large, expensive overcoat. Then he returned to the banquet.

This time he was received with open arms. The host himself asked him to sit beside him at the highest seat and offered him a plate filled with the choicest delicacies. Much to their bewildered amazement, Hodja took off his coat, held it to the plate and said "Eat, my master, eat"

"Hodja, what are you doing?" exclaimed his astonished host.
"It is the clothes that you are honoring,  not me"

Do we look within people and appreciate them for who they are, or just look at outward status symbols? Are we attracted by people's outward qualities like fame, power, money, wordly achievements etc. or do we look for internal qualities ike real peace, true happiness, their insight, inherent wisdom, and the amount of love in their hearts?

How we treat other people defines us.  A person established in wisdom does not consider himself higher than people who are less successful in the material sense, nor does he feel low in the presence of people who have more material success. The roles that people play in this world are simply the coats that souls wear to a given party. Sooner or later all parties come to an end, and it's time to go home. The wise thus go beyond the outward roles and see the truth lying inside.

The following quote from the Bible is so apt for this article which I read while reading this story of Hodga-

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
-Peter 3:3-4

Triple Filter Test

In ancient Greece, Socrates (469 - 399 BC) was widely lauded for his wisdom. One day a friend ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied, "Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."

'Triple filter?" asked the friend.

"That's right," Socrates continued, "Before you talk to me about Diogenes, let's take a moment to filter what you're going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"No," the man said, "Actually I just heard about it."

"All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?"

"No, on the contrary..."

"So," Socrates continued, "You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you're not certain it's true?"

The man got embarrassed. Socrates continued, "You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates, "If what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me or anyone at all?"

The man was confused and ashamed.

Leaving a thought behind …. can we also apply Triple Filter Test in our day to day life?
Thanks
